At A. Houck Designs, we want you to be comfortable with our interior design process – and with working with us. So here’s a look at the steps you can expect. Let’s begin the journey of creating spaces you will love!
- You reach out and tell us about your design needs…just a few nuts and bolts to get us started.
- We send via email a list of questions for you to complete. Which of our service offerings best suits your project parameters? Do you need soup to nuts, a few finishing touches, or something in between?
- We review your answers and then set up a time for us to chat by phone. Plan on 15 minutes for this initial conversation.
- Next we schedule an in-home consultation to review your dreams, design ideas and wish list. And we share more about how we work and what you can expect throughout the process.
- We gather more intelligence, which may require a bit of homework on your part. We study your magazine clippings, favorites from Houzz and Pinterest, and any other inspiration sources you provide.
- We develop a tailored design plan to fit your needs and style. Depending on the project scope, this plan might include drawings, layouts, furniture recommendations, fabrics, and much more.
- We meet to present the plan and answer any questions you may have.
- With your approval of the design plan, we start ordering furniture, fixtures, lighting, fabrics and other items. Any necessary renovation work begins. We employ our team of specialists and craftsmen for paint, wallcoverings, window treatments, and any other custom work needed.
- We choreograph the devilish details of delivery, inspection and installation of all furnishings.
- You sit back, relax and enjoy your new home with family and friends!
