Our empty-nest clients wanted to reimagine their home environment as they started a new chapter. Taking a room-by-room approach, we transformed several spaces, addressing their specific goals and requests for each.
In the dining room, our challenge was to provide a fresh look, while repurposing the couple’s existing dark-wood furniture and crystal chandelier. We introduced new elements—from the blue grass cloth lining the walls and ceiling to the botanical-print embroidered linen used for the window panels—to balance those traditional, formal pieces.
In their primary bedroom, our clients asked us to recreate the luxurious experience of staying in a five-star hotel. We established a tranquil color palette and introduced sumptuous, bespoke layers. At the windows, motorized shades combined with linen side panels create a restful cocoon.
When we started, the lower level was a nondescript box. We transformed it into an inviting billiards room for game nights and casual entertaining. Bespoke furnishings, tons of natural texture, and photography wall art that evokes memories of the couple’s world travels bring warmth and meaning to the space.
