When clients asked us to reimagine their family room, their prized collection of Native American pottery served as the launching point for our design.
The completed room is a celebration of craft. A hand-applied Venetian plaster wall finish provides an appropriately aged-looking backdrop for the vintage pottery. We commissioned a number of artisan-made pieces for the space, starting with shelves and a console table to display the museum-worthy pieces; the stone-and-metal cocktail table is another bespoke creation. The Southwestern pottery inspired our earthy color palette of warm brown and terra-cotta, mixed with complementary blue hues.
The treasured collection tells the owners’ unique story and brings meaning to the family room where it’s proudly displayed.
